Springtime in Antelope Valley, California. An 8″x8″ oil on panel. When the winter rains come at the right time, there is an explosion of color in the Antelope Valley starting in February through the end of April. California poppies, Field of Gold, Fiddleback and a many other wild flowers cover the valley floor. Snow is still on the tops of the far distant mountains.
