Project Description
As a child I would dream about owning and riding beautiful horses. I lived in the suburbs of Los Angeles there were still many areas where horses were kept that I could walk to and pet and sketch. My parents just didn’t have the financial resources to board a horse and give me riding lessons. I ended up with piano lessons (I still play quite a bit) and my mom gave me the materials to draw and paint to my hearts content. I painted horses of all sorts of colors, only now many of my equine paintings use colors can only exist in an artist’s mind. This is one of a series of “Dream Catchers” paintings using my favorite color palette of blues and reds.
